I sometimes feel I live a fairly boring (but busy) life and this past week I tried to find something I loved in the everyday. Here are a few photos that made me happy this past week.

I found these white Ray Ban Aviators at such a good deal. I snagged them right up for our Florida trip we are taking next week! (And of course my hair wasn't JUST right for the picture. Oh well, that's my life!)

I tried some different DIY hairstyles this week. Having long hair is fun, but it can get monotonous doing the same straight hair everyday. I spiced it up a little this week! Bows, twists, and wrong side out French braids, hooray!

Of course I had to work during a Fireworks display, but I got to take pictures from the Starbucks front door. I don't care how old I get I still "ohh" and "ahh" over the different colors.

This week was a week for movie going. I saw The Amazing Spider man and Magic Mike. I left the theater looooving Spider man. I secretly love super heroes and even have gone so far as to buying few of comic books that I think would interest me. (That experience will be another post at another time.)

Magic Mike was less than lovely. Channing Tatum can dance, but that's about all the movie is worth. All you have to do is watch Step Up and you will be spared the bad storyline of Magic Mike.

At work we have a life-size card board crouching Spider Man. I thought I would have a little fun with him. :)

Sometimes it's awesome working at the mall when you get an email stating, "Free Animal from Build A Bear today." I snuck right on over there and got a free stuffed animal for my niece. She'll love it!

Before I saw Magic Mike this week, I had a Yogurt date with some of my friends. I think you can tell which yogurt treat is mine. I love Sugar. And sprinkles, and chocolate, and cookie dough, and Reese's peanut butter cups, etc.

I think that was all for the week. I am off to work for 7 days in a row, both jobs everyday until we leave  for a vacation. Hallelujah!

Bye for now. We'll talk soon! :)

Currently wasting time...

I work two jobs so I rarely get a day off, but I had one today and found myself wanting to waste time and go shopping. I did some damage, but I'm excited about my gold shoes, and peach dress that were BOTH ON SALE! I love me some sales. I will spend money on quality things, but it has to be realllllly worth it for me.

Recently, I have read the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. I finished the whole series in 4 days. Some of our libraries around here are banning the books. Givemeabreak. What do we live in? the 1800s? Let women (or whoever) read whatever they want. sheesh. I love books, and I liked that this series lets you openly read things that all women have wondered about (including me) but I have definitely never been exposed to. I would recommend it. There is a reason it's on the best seller's list right now.

I have been listening to City and Colour. I just stumbled across this band on Spotify and I can say that his voice makes me want to sway back and forth. So I do. ;)

Summer officially starts next week and I couldn't be more excited. Summer is my favorite season. I could be hot, hot, hot and I would always pick it over the bone chill winter. I am not taking a Summer vacation this year, so I won't have to go bathing suit shopping. (Thank Goodness. I don't know what woman loves to do that...) Instead some of my family and I are headed to Europe this September. I am beyond words excited!! I think I have wanted to see Paris since I was 8 years old. In high school, I took French instead of Spanish, and in Texas people told me I was crazy, in hopes that it would help me one day fulfill that dream. Scratching that off the list come September.

I found myself at the Kate Spade New York outlet a couple of weeks ago and bought myself a hot pink wallet and bow earrings that I couldn't live without. Now, I have started perusing all of Kate Spade's online stuff and I have to say, I'm in love. I ordered some earrings and check out this packaging. Beyondcute.

I ordered the "Mrs" earrings and this is how it came!

Yesterday, I took my dog, Sadie, to the park and we spent 8 hours there. Even though, I applied and reapplied sunscreen, I am a little burnt today. Thank goodness for aloe vera. I wonder if Snow White ever got sunburnt? She would have to get a new description. Sun Burnt formerly known as Snow White? I digress...
The Kate Spade bow earrings I can't stop wearing. :)

Sadie smiling.

My 2 year wedding anniversary is next month. Not quite sure what we are planning, but something to get away from life for a weekend, maybe. Here's to 2 years, and 2 more, and 22 more after that, and 222 more after that....well, maybe if we turn into vampires.

One of my phone cases was falling apart and the glitter was falling off, why not use it as face decoration?!?

New Chanel frames I got this week

Favorite way to wear my hair? However it is right after I get it cut.

We'll talk soon friends!

Hi!

Apparently I have wanted to write a blog since 2008. I have recently google'd myself and I found that I started one... 4 years ago. I set it up and created a name, but never posted anything. I guess I had to wait until I had material to work with.

My best friend since the 7th grade has been my major advocate on making a blog. So, Amber...here you go. ;)

A few things about me:

I am from Texas, now live in Kentucky. I met my husband in college and we have a lovely condo we share with the cutest dog I could ever imagine. (I will try to keep my dog loving to a minimum) but sometimes she is just so cute. I have two jobs, I'm a manager for Sunglass Hut and work part time as a barista for Starbucks. I enjoy both jobs for different reasons and let me tell you that being a barista is harder than you think.

I was bitten by a travel bug. I love going on road trips, small or large and I have loved flying in planes since I was 4 years old. At the end of the summer I am going to Europe with my family and I am so excited. I will keep you updated with the countdown and where we are going. (I'm finally going to get my own picture of the Eiffel Tower instead of hoping and wishing and loving other people's pictures.)

At little of what's taking up my time now:

What I am currently reading: Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge. Recently one of my fellow baristas recommended this book for me and so far it has been right on point for how women feel and think. Without getting into social norms and standards that women face, this book is helping me understand why I feel and think the way I do. Check it out, it's good. :)

What I am currently watching: 16 and Pregnant. In the 21st Century I don't feel like we do anything without multitasking. (Thank you Apple) So, while I am reading, blogging, and texting, I am also watching this show. For some reason I am fascinated with the train wrecks some of these women are.

What I am currently listening to: Frightened Rabbit, Swim Until you can't see land. Amber introduced me to this band...and I have to say. Really like their sound.

Here are a few pictures from the past week.

80's Zumba work out with the Bestie

Finally got a MacBook Pro. So excited to finally see how in love we will become. :)

At work.

We'll talk soon.

Enjoy your life, you only have one.
