Hi!

Apparently I have wanted to write a blog since 2008. I have recently google'd myself and I found that I started one... 4 years ago. I set it up and created a name, but never posted anything. I guess I had to wait until I had material to work with.

My best friend since the 7th grade has been my major advocate on making a blog. So, Amber...here you go. ;)

A few things about me:

I am from Texas, now live in Kentucky. I met my husband in college and we have a lovely condo we share with the cutest dog I could ever imagine. (I will try to keep my dog loving to a minimum) but sometimes she is just so cute. I have two jobs, I'm a manager for Sunglass Hut and work part time as a barista for Starbucks. I enjoy both jobs for different reasons and let me tell you that being a barista is harder than you think.

I was bitten by a travel bug. I love going on road trips, small or large and I have loved flying in planes since I was 4 years old. At the end of the summer I am going to Europe with my family and I am so excited. I will keep you updated with the countdown and where we are going. (I'm finally going to get my own picture of the Eiffel Tower instead of hoping and wishing and loving other people's pictures.)

At little of what's taking up my time now:

What I am currently reading: Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge. Recently one of my fellow baristas recommended this book for me and so far it has been right on point for how women feel and think. Without getting into social norms and standards that women face, this book is helping me understand why I feel and think the way I do. Check it out, it's good. :)

What I am currently watching: 16 and Pregnant. In the 21st Century I don't feel like we do anything without multitasking. (Thank you Apple) So, while I am reading, blogging, and texting, I am also watching this show. For some reason I am fascinated with the train wrecks some of these women are.

What I am currently listening to: Frightened Rabbit, Swim Until you can't see land. Amber introduced me to this band...and I have to say. Really like their sound.

Here are a few pictures from the past week.

80's Zumba work out with the Bestie

Finally got a MacBook Pro. So excited to finally see how in love we will become. :)

At work.

We'll talk soon.

Enjoy your life, you only have one.
